[He's right, it really really doesn't. It's not her job to run damage control for him, even LESS SO when she's actively trying to avoid him. Sneaking around behind his back trying to micromanage his relationships for him was definitely a bad idea. But she can't exactly just stand here on the sidelines and watch the two of them egg each other on into a mutual meltdown.

The obvious answer is of course to turn her own radio the fuck off, but she's definitely doesn't have that kind of self control.]

Look, I've got more experience dealing with him than anyone in the literal multiverse here. I'm trying to save your blood-pressure here dude.

[She glares at her radio. Like, more than she had been before. She and Psi had never exactly been pals, and his dismissive butt-faced attitude was one of the reasons why.]

I don't even disagree with you, I just know from experience that coming at it the way you are is gonna give you one hell of a headache, and end with him more convinced than he ever was that he's right. You ain't gonna get through to him like this.

[Wow, that. Worked? She takes a moment to let go of her flash of anger, and hopes he hasn't already powered it off by the time she gets her thoughts in order.]

You don't have to like, give up on him or whatever. You just. I know how to talk to him okay?

[She's not talking to him currently, and clearly that is causing problems so like, having someone else who is apparently stubborn enough to keep trying is an opportunity she doesn't think she'll get too many times over.]

Trying to convince him he's a person won't work. You gotta show him he deserves basic rights and shit even if he's defective and terrible and yadda yadda. Otherwise he just shuts you out and assumes you aren't listening to him.

[Which, well. She's not gonna SAY that Psi is ignoring him, but. Yeah.]

[Except that he does care what Foster thinks, but he's ignoring that for now.]

Yeah, course. But getting him to stop doing stupid shit, both in the moment and hopefully in the longer term is more effective when you learn how to come at him with his own logic.

[There's a slight pause, and then a followup question, her tone almost apprehensive.]

[Oh god, of fucking COURSE it was video games. She groans. Then just for effect, she turns on her radio and groans AGAIN.]
